Team News:
7/27/06 - Orinda Magic Purple has completed pool play at the Nationals and now prepare for their first game in the CHAMPIONSHIP BRACKET. The Magic will face off against the Orlando Blazers
at 8:30 a.m. at St. Bernard School in Breaux Bridge, LA. In an odd
coincidence which speaks to the fateful morning matchup, both the Orinda Magic and the Orlando Blazers lost 3 games by 13 points in pool play. But, the Magic emerged from those initial battles with an opening win against James Lee Lady Razorbacks, 55-51, and now they look to defeat the winless Blazers and keep their own dreams alive. A win will put them in a 3:30 p.m. showdown with the Michigan Shock.

The Purple Team was featured in an article in the Contra Costa Sun on July 7, the story details the team's journey to prepare for the AAU National Tournament. With Nationals a week away the Magic are hitting their stride and ready for a good showing in Louisiana. Click the link to read the whole story. NATIONALS
